Troy & Krisi
Troy Meink testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee regarding his nomination as Secretary of the Air Force. Secretary Noem shows the down side of illegal entry into the US to commit crime.

Troy’s Confirmation Hearing
South Dakota native Dr. Troy Meink, President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the Air Force, appeared March 27 before the Senate Armed Services Committee to be interviewed on his confirmation. (The previous Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall had resigned and departed the Pentagon on January 16 this year.)
It was reported in SpaceNews that “[Dr.] Meink’s testimony generally received a positive reception from the committee, with several senators lauding his space expertise and experience leading classified defense programs.”
As expected, some Senators attempted to cast aspersions on Dr. Meink because he was nominated by President Trump and because he knew Elon Musk through an obvious commonality between US Space Force and SpaceX — e.g. outer space. The Senators suggested that this was disqualifying.
For context, in July 2021, all Senators except two Republicans voted to confirm Biden’s choice of Kendall as Secretary of the Air Force, despite the fact that earlier in his career he had been Vice President of Engineering for Raytheon Company and served as a Managing Partner at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, a Virginia-based aerospace and defense sector consulting firm.
Knowing as much about the technologies and industries that serve the knowledge base and interests of the US Air Force must be viewed as an asset. See the highly qualified Dr. Meink’s bio that we published January 20.

Kristi’s Message South of the Border
On March 26, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem visited El Salvador’s CECOT prison where the inmates never see the light of day. Literally. That was the starting place for a three-day tour of Latin American countries to discuss the problem of organized criminals crossing into our country to commit crimes.
Her visits are sending a deliberate message that “if you are thinking of coming to America illegally, don’t do it. You are not welcome,” she said.
Loving this new word for me: kakistocracy... I have experienced it up close in the education system.
Washington DC seems to need a little guidance on the press.
